Ringing in Spring: How to Reset

Spring has finally sprung! The sun is shining, the breeze is blowing, and the flowers are blooming. As the world lightens back up, you should, too! Here’s how to hit the reset button this month and what to do in our beautiful capital city of Baton Rouge to celebrate!

Get some crawfish!

Crawfish season is upon us! Here in Baton Rouge, we love to take down pounds on pounds of crawfish. Grab some trays from Capital City Crawfish or, my favorite, Sammy’s Crawfish King, where crawfish is topped with garlic butter and parsley to taste. You can even bring some home from Crawfish on the Geaux, a drive-thru on Perkins that can satisfy all your seafood needs!

Go to the flower fields!

Flowers are in bloom; get outside and enjoy them! There’s nothing better than seeing a colorful field of flowers after winter. The LSU AgCenter Botanical Gardens are the best places to do this (and get some good Insta pics, too!)

Have a picnic with your girls!

Grab some friends and get out in the sunshine this spring! Some great places to set up for a nice afternoon or during golden hour are the University Lakes, looking over the water; and Perkins Road Community Park, where you can set up a barbeque and play games.

Here at PPG, we’re looking out for our ladies who need to hit the reset button this spring. Check out our downloadable calendar. It’s never too late to make a change! Choose yourself this April and take care of the clutter, mental and physical.

Through the trials of winter and the heaviness the world, especially women of the world, have been dealing with, spring reveals a time of change, rebirth and growth! Let’s grow through it, together!
