225GIVES Back To The Community
Capital Area United Way is kicking off May with its third annual 225GIVES, a 24-hour online donation spree to fund nonprofits! As we know, raising money for nonprofits is essential for them to flourish. So be a part of this social goodness and get online on May 4th!
Unique to Baton Rouge, 225GIVES is a great resource to help and give back to your community. Last year, you all helped us exceed our goal of $2500, so we upgraded this year to $3500! This money will aid us in funding our secured. program.
If you didn’t know, secured. is PPG’s initiative to combat period poverty and to debunk menstruation stigmas. With this program, we will provide education, conversation and products to those who do not have access to it.
secured. has already made a huge impact on our Baton Rouge community by distributing over 40,000 menstrual products to those in need, partnering with over 15 organizations to provide these resources, and engaging over 200 volunteers annually to connect women in our community.
