W(o)W: Melina Millerleile x Cycle Fly

Hey hustlers it’s me, Bri! I am currently located in Cleveland, Ohio and will be staying here for the remainder of the summer. Before our beach trip, my roommate and I decided to take a cycling class because it’s #hotgirlsummer. We attended a class at Cycle Fly, a rhythm based indoor cycling studio located right outside of Cleveland in Lakewood, OH. The class was thrilling and we had to find someone to thank for creating such an empowering and dope workout studio —turns out it is fueled by #womenpower.

Life motto: Whatever you are, be a good one.

The hustler you may be able to catch a ride with, Melina Millerleile, is the boss behind the bike. You may find her with an iced coffee and if she isn’t at the studio look at Lake Erie and listen for some good music, the three things she can’t live without.

She enjoys indoor cycling, hiking, spending time outdoors, traveling and her family. Melina admires her mother, an immigrant from Vietnam who move to the United States to start a new life for Melina and her siblings. Her mother is the hardest working person she knows and is a women who has made a profound impact on her life.

Melina’s favorite item in her closet at the moment are her new On Cloud tennis shoes. . .she’s obsessed.

She is grateful for the opportunity to open her own business and proud to have done so at a young age. She started with nothing and built her dream from the ground up with hard work. She extends a strong “Thank You” to her husband, family, friends and community. The people who helped who made her dream a reality.

Empowered. After teaching her first class at Cycle Fly, Melina felt empowered, which she highlights as an important feeling that brings happiness and reminds you that you are truly making a difference in life of each rider on that specific day and at that specific time.

She advises younger women to pursue something they love and what brings them happiness. The key part is to use that passion as a starting point and turn it into your life and career. Reflecting on her own journey, Melina regrets nothing and understands that even the mistakes were learning opportunities.

Melina’s traits of being driven, relatable and her ability to empathize with the friend and the stranger in the same way are the roots of Cycle Fly. Melina knows that creating and growing relationships is critical for establishing a strong community. This can be accomplished in a variety of ways such as team building activities, community service and partnership opportunities. She feels stronger within the community when she is able to give back to the community!

Melina’s go-to song at the moment, Return of the Mack by Mark Morrison.

Growth. Preparing for the future of Cycle Fly, Melina is focused on growing and expanding. Cycle Fly is still a new business and there are no limits for where it can go and how it can grow. She is looking forward to adding more bikes, training new staff and helping the world understand that it’s okay to lean on one another. Group fitness took a hit because of the pandemic, so they are still in the process of getting back on beat. Group fitness is about community and reminds people that they’re not alone. Melina wants to spread this message far and wide. . . #goride
