Tiffany Brown is who we can thank for the good smells traveling through the streets of NOLA and beyond. Her Wicks NOLA Candle Company is a luxury line of candles and home fragrances all inspired by NOLA! She makes it possible to take a piece of home with you wherever you go.

The story of Wicks NOLA began in 2018 and has been an unstoppable force (and smell) ever since. At the end of 2020, they opened their brick and mortar store, you can now find them in-person at: 2100 Reverend Richard Wilson Drive, Suite 2. As of this year, they have extended outside of Louisiana and into Michigan, Minnesota and Washington D.C.

Tiffany is passionate about her family and business. She believes she is exactly where she needs to be and when she reflects on her past there is not a thing she would change. Along with the rest of the world, she is patiently awaiting the end of COVID-19. She would love to open another storefront in the great city if New Orleans on Magazine St. and expand the brand to include home goods as well.

She is passionate about starting a non-profit and and opening a community center in order to provide an alternative for kids in the city that would include before/after care, tutoring, homework help, hot meals and counseling services. She says it will be, “The whole nine! I see it.” When building community, Tiffany acknowledges the importance of having a genuine respect for others and the ability to give a damn about someone other than yourself ( retweet).

Family, Music, Ramen, Tequila and of course, her glasses are all living essentials for Tiffany. right now, you can find her jammin’ to Nobody (feat. Ms. Lauryn Hill) by Nas. Her life motto is: “It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish.” When you’re with her you are sure to laugh and notice her passion for giving. Two women she looks up to are Oprah and Madame CJ Walker, she admires these two women and the empires they built from nothing. Jo Malone, the queen of candles and home fragrance is also someone who’s a part of the women who inspire her.

She reminds the younger women , “Don’t try to bypass or skip over the hustle. You have to put in the work. You’ll appreciate it more.” Her empowerment comes from her daughters and when they tell her that they are inspired by her and are proud of her. If she received a prestigious award her first line would be an honor to God.

Tiffany has been recognized for Wicks NOLA and was invited to speak on a panel at the 2021 Essence Festival. Last year, they were features in Oprah Magazine as one of the Top 22 Best Scented Candles (um… WOW!). Along with the opening of their first storefront in December of last year, the only place Wicks NOLA is going, UP!
