secured. is Power Pump Girls’ initiative that combats period poverty and the stigma associated with menstruation.
What most perceive as a monthly inconvenience can be a matter of life and death for others. Menstruators around the world are dealing with the period poverty epidemic on a personal level every single day. When faced with the privilege we had to purchase period care products with ease and convenience, we knew there was work to be done to help others who could not do the same for themselves. secured. exists to eradicate the stigma of menstruation one conversation at a time and to improve quality of life during menstruation one individual at a time.
To date, Power Pump Girls, Inc. has:
distributed over 40,000 menstrual products to individuals in need
partnered with over 15 organizations to provide resources in our local community
engaged over 200 volunteers annually to connect + serve
